In the year 1975, Dr. Md. Mofizuddin Sarker constructed a private Clinic in Rangpur named Nazimuddin Poly Clinic, which was the first of its type in North Bengal. After his death, to tribute to his dream, his family members and some other enthusiastic persons of Rangpur have established 750 -bed hospital which was started from 100-bed Doctors Community Hospital (Pvt.) Ltd. in the year 2000, led by his deserving son Mr. Md. Nazmul Ahasan Sarker. Then to meet the increasing demand for Dental Surgeons in the country and abroad Rangpur Dental College started its noble Journey as the first and only private dental college in North Bengal in 2001, under the management of Doctor Community Hospital (Pvt) Ltd. In this dental college students from different districts of the country & neighbouring countries like Nepal, India and Maldives are being admitted. As recognition of the performance, the Ministry of Health, Govt. of Bangladesh awarded Rangpur Dental College as “The best Private Dental College.” In 2008 MBBS course was started ensuring quality education and currently, 50% of the students are coming from various countries.
